Celtic Renewables’ Host Japanese Delegation at Scotland’s first Biorefinery

In September, Celtic Renewables had the honour of hosting the delegation from Japan at our biorefinery, with over 20 delegates, each representing different organisations.. This visit was part of our ongoing collaboration with the Japanese Consulate in Edinburgh, and we were thrilled to be selected as a destination for the delegates to visit on their tour around the UK & Germany.

During the visit, our Founder and Scientific Advisor, Professor Martin Tangney, along with our CEO, Mark Simmers, delivered an in-depth presentation highlighting our pioneering, globally scalable technology. The delegates were also given a tour of our biorefinery — the first of its kind in Scotland — where we showcased the cutting-edge innovations driving our sustainable solutions.

The delegation included key representatives from: Chugoku Economic Federation, The Hiroshima Bank, The San-In Godo Bank, Ltd, San-In Chuo Television Broadcasting Co, Mazda Motor Corporation, Hiroshima Gas Co, Ube Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mentecworld, Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsui & Co, Development Bank of Japan, Itochu Corporation, Marubeni Corporation, Shimohana Logistics Co, Shimohana Survey Design Co, Energia Solution & Service Co, Enecom, and Setouchi Joint Thermal Power Co.
