Bioacetone & Biobutanol Distribution: Celtic Renewables & Caldic Partnership
Celtic Renewables has signed its first major re-seller, Caldic. The partnership secures a fast go-to-market strategy for Caldic’s biosolvents range, supporting its customers in advancing their sustainability journey with Celtic Renewables’ bioacetone and biobutnaol.
Celtic Renewables’ patented low-carbon technology converts and low-value byproducts, residues and waste into high-value green chemicals, which can be used in a variety of everyday items.
Caldic, a leading solutions provider for the life science and speciality chemical industries will distribute the bioacetone and biobutanol produced by Celtic Renewables. This high purity, bio solution, with an extremely low carbon footprint, will provide Caldic’s customers with a sustainable bio-based alternative to fossil fuel produced solvents.
This significant deal coincides with COP-26 which is good news for the UK as it transitions to a net-zero economy. The announcement of the partnership was made by Mark Simmers, Chief Executive Officer of Celtic Renewables, at a COP 26 event on 3rd November entitled Scotland’s Green Innovation and Investment Showcase, attended by Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon.
