Celtic Renewables highlights bioacetone and biobutanol at UK’s largest chemical expo

In May, we teamed up with our distributors, Caldic, to attend the CHEMUK expo in Birmingham to discuss our green chemicals, bioacetone and biobutanol. As the UK’s largest annual event for the Chemical, Laboratory, and Process Industries Supply Chain, CHEMUK brought together over 500 exhibitors across key zones. 

During the expo, we participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Harnessing the Power of Biotechnology Towards Sustainable Chemicals Manufacturing,’ hosted by the IBIOC. Our discussion focused on the ambitious Net Zero targets set by the Scottish and UK Governments for 2045 and 2050, highlighting Celtic Renewables’ role in driving progress with our green chemicals – bioacetone & biobutanol.

Throughout the panel, we discussed the need for transformative changes in manufacturing and the supply chain, particularly in everyday household goods. At Celtic Renewables, we’re leading the way by supplying our green chemicals— bioacetone, biobutanol, and bioethanol—to companies striving to develop cleaner, greener products in sectors like personal care, cosmetics, and home care. Working closely with multinational partners committed to robust ESG and Net Zero targets, we’re helping them transition to more sustainable processes and achieve their environmental goals.
